Liv and Navid Talk

Livie and Navid circa 2003 (I'm guessing not quite 2 years old).
So a couple of days ago Livie and Navid were sitting at the kitchen table coloring (Lua too!) and having a somewhat serious conversation that really cracked me up. Normally, their conversations revolve around school, Legos, and SpongeBob. I was sitting on the couch, listening. It went something like this...
Navid: So Olivia do think you will get married when you grow up?
Liv: Yay, I think so.
Navid: Not me! It would be so gross to have to kiss a stranger!
At this point I had to chime in. "Navid, I really hope if you're married to her, she isn't a stranger!"
Oh, my babies are getting so old!

Big News at the Beans'
Puddin'
I always forget just how much my kids like pudding for dessert. Sometimes I'll go for months without making any. Last night I made some for the first time since Lua has been eating table food. Boy, did she love it!

a conversation with the Rodder
A couple of weeks ago the Rodder got his haircut at a new place and the barber put some gel in his hair. This was obviously a new experience for him as since then he has mentioned several times he wants some gel. Each time I say that I have some and that I just need to dig it out of somewhere.
So last night we are sitting on the couch, relaxing...
the Rodder: I really like that gel you have (running his hand over his hair).
Me: What gel? (puzzled as I never dug the gel out)
the Rodder: the gel that is under your sink in the bathroom
Me: huh?
the Rodder: the one in big green bottle. . . I think its called Aloe Vera.
Me: snicker, snicker. You mean the green bottle of Aloe Vera. That's not for your hair! That's what I use for sunburns!
the Rodder: it said Aloe Vera GEL! I thought it was for hair.
Me: Nope, its for your skin.
the Rodder: I still like what it does to my hair.
So ladies if you have coarse hair, the Rodder recommends Aloe Vera for smooth, shiny hair.
Oh, the poor Rodder! He often laments "I can't speak English and I don't remember my Farsi! I am in a sad shape!"
